Generation of Tm3+ ion on 3F4-3H6 transition at direct excitation of 3F4 by radiation of gas laser with nuclear pumping

Description

The possibility of lasing in a YAP:Tm3+ crystal with 3F4 level of the Tm3+ ion directly pumped by narrowband radiation of a gas laser operating in the middle IR range has been studied. The efficiency of the pumped energy conversion into spontaneous emission on the 3F4-3H6 transition in the Tm3+ ion is within 65-75%. The efficiency of generation with respect to the absorbed pumping energy is ∼ 4%

Приведены результаты исследования возможности получения генерации в кристалле Tm3+:YAP при прямой накачке уровня3F4 иона Tm3+ узкополосным излучением газового лазера, работающего в средней ИК-области спектра. Эффективность преобразования излучения накачки в спонтанное излучение на переходе 3F4-3H6 иона Tm3+ составила около 65-75%. Эффективность генерации лазерного излучения по поглощенной энергии накачки составила примерно 4%
