Production of self-sustained fusion reaction in the IGNITEX experiment
Creators
Description
In this paper the basis, concept, and objectives of the IGNITEX experiment are explained. Low beta, ohmic, L-mode regime of operation is possible in IGNITEX. Although this regime seems to be the most suitable for an ignition experiment other regimes should be accessible as well with IGNITEX. The plasma discharge and the interaction plasma-eddy currents are described. The effects of the alpha fusion products are investigated
