Natural radioactivity. Negative environmental factors

  • 1. State Geological Institute of Dionyz Stur, 81704 Bratislava (Slovakia)

Description

The results of geological survey of natural radioactivity are mainly total radioactivity maps, maps of concentration of natural radionuclides (uranium, thorium, potassium), map projections and other radon risk maps respectively. Graphs of monitoring radon, which demonstrates a certain variability. Choice of scale and scope of exploration activities is dependent on the intended use and size of the site. Basic screening information on the natural radioactivity over Slovakia respectively. larger territorial units made maps at scales 1: 50 000 and less detailed. Spatial planning is carried out more detailed scale surveys for small areas and under specific object - a building site is in turn required a detailed survey.
