An investigation of nuclear critical opalescence with photopion reactions
Description
It is shown that photopion reactions on nuclei provide a direct probe of the enhancement of the virtual pion field (critical opalescence) which has been invoked to explain anomalies in 1p-shell magnetic form factors. The experimental conditions for maximum sensitivity are discussed. (author)
