Description

Distribution of molybdenum(VI) and uranium(VI) between aq. sulphuric acid solution and an organic solution containing the extractant such as triisodecyl amine (Alamine 310), tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), di-n-pentyl sulphoxide (DPSO) and bis-, (2,4,4-trimethyl pentyl)dithiophosphinic acid (Cyanex 301) and their binary mixtures has been studied. Extraction is quantitative in case of Mo(VI) with the mixture of Alamine 310 and Cyanex 301 in the range 0.2-1.0 M H2SO4 and synergism is observed in the extraction. Separation of Mo(VI) from U(VI) is feasible by TBP and DPSO from 10 M H2SO4 and by the mixture of Cyanex 301 and Alamine 310 from 1 M H2SO4. (orig.)
