Threshold character of deuterium desorption temperature from Mg-Zr composites

Description

The dependence of ion-implanted deuterium desorption temperature from Mg-Zr-composites obtained by the method of plasma spraying on components concentration is studied. It is shown, that introduction of Zr addition to magnesium leads to significant decrease of deuterium desorption temperature (∼ 400 K) in comparison with magnesium. The step-like view of dependence curve of temperature maximum of deuterium thermal desorption from Mg-Zr-composites on magnesium concentration testifies of existence of two different structural states of Mg-Zr-system according to components ratio. It is pointed out, that search of hydrogen accumulating materials, in which composition there are chemical elements with low solubility in alloy components, is perspective

Abstract (Russian)

Изучена зависимость температуры десорбции ионно-имплантированного дейтерия из Mg-Zr-композитов, полученных методом плазменного напыления, от концентрации компонентов. Выявлено, что введение добавки Zr к магнию приводит к значительному снижению температуры десорбции дейтерия (∼400 К) по сравнению с магнием. Ступенчатый вид кривой зависимости температуры максимума термоактивированного выделения дейтерия из Mg-Zr-композитов от содержания магния свидетельствует о наличии двух разных структурных состояний системы Mg-Zr в зависимости от соотношения компонентов. Отмечается перспективность поиска материалов-накопителей водорода, в составе которых имеются химические элементы с низкой растворимостью в компонентах сплава
