Description

The TESLA TS 110 linear CCD array was used to demonstrate the usefulness of CCD (charge-coupled device) elements for detection and imaging of plasma radiation from the infrared to the soft X-ray region. The calculated optical and X-ray sensitivities proved to be well suitable especially for applications in hot plasma diagnostics. Computer controlled electronics and a software packet for data acquisition and handling were developed and the whole system was tested in a series of experiments with laser-produced plasma.
