Interaction of xenon difluoride with copper and alkali metal chlorides
Description
XeF2 interaction witn MCuCl3, M2CuCl4 (M=K-Cs) is studied. The reaction is shown to proceed in stages with formation of fluorocuprates (2) of alkali metals transformed at higher temperature into Cu3+ derivatives. Yield of the latters makes up about 20-30%. The products of fluorination also contain hexafluoroxenates (4) of M2Xe4+F6 composition formed at XeF2 interaction with MF at the temperature above 250-300 deg C
