Heat capacity measurements on advanced fuels
- 1. Fuel Chemistry Div., Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam (India)
Description
Enthalpy increments of advanced fast reactor fuels, Mark-I of FBTR (U0.3Pu0.7)C and (U0.45Pu0.55)N were measured in the temperature ranges 1021-1759 K and 1025-1775 K respectively by inverse drop method using a high temperature differential calorimeter. From the fitted equations for the measured enthalpy increment data, the thermodynamic functions such as the heat capacity, entropy and Gibbs energy functions were computed. (author)
