Description

The soil-to-plant transfer factors (Fv) values of radionuclides represent the extent of transfer of radionuclides from the soil to the plants. Studies on Fv are important to determine the potential exposure of human and animal populations to radioactive contaminants. The transfer factors can vary greatly depending on several factors such as the chemical form of the radionuclide in the soil, the type of plant, the soil conditions, and the growth stage of the plant. In this paper, we present the soil-to-plant transfer factors for 04 Brinjal and 04 Bottle gourd samples, which were gathered from within the 0-15 km area of IGCAR, Kalpakkam
