Developments of picosecond photonics for laser fusion research

  • 1. Osaka Univ. (Japan)

Description

Laser Fusion Research depends on the development of high power lasers which can deliver a few 10 TW laser light in 100 picosecond. The implosion process of a fuel pellet by laser irradiation can only be measured using the picosecond photonics with μm spatial resolution. Recent status of these developments is presented. (author)
