Determination of 13C in 13CO2 breath samples by nuclear analysis

The feasibility study, the characterization, and the applicability and prospects of the nuclear reaction 12C(p, γ)13N and 13C(p, γ)14N for estimating 13C in 13CO2 breath samples are reviewed.Ease and speed are advantages of this technique over mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance
