Description
Irradiation sharply increases the frequency of mutations which then gradually decreases to the control values in the 25-30 th generations. There is a similarity in the dynamics of recessive sexlinked lethal mutations and visible mutations. Dynamics of dominant lethal mutations is different and identical with fluctuations in viability of individuals in population. Using melanine the authors have demonstrated a possibility of decreasing the frequency of mutations in irradiated populations by chemical antimutagens
