Photonuclear processes in the 4He12C channel of the 16O nucleus in potential cluster models

Description

The direct cluster photodisintegration of the 16O nucleus through the 4He12C channel and the corresponding radiative capture are considered in potential two-cluster models. Intercluster interactions involving forbidden states and reproducing the phase shifts of elastic scattering and the properties of bound states are used. The astrophysical S factors are calculated at low energies. The proposed model is shown to describe the total cross sections for photonuclear processes
