Interpretation of high-energy electron spectroscopy in f-systems beyond the atomic-like approach

Description
The manifestations of the hybridization of f-states with band-states in electron spectroscopies are briefly discussed within the single-impurity model. Two extreme examples of Ce-systems are presented: CeN where the f-states form a narrow metallic band and CeCu6 where the f-states show a heavy-fermion behaviour. (orig.)
