Mutual focusing of graviton beams
Description
Using recent results on high-energy superstring scattering, the authors discuss the mutual focusing of two colliding graviton beams. The phenomenon, which could be of some astrophysical interest, bears amusing similarities to the one leading to singularities in the classical treatment of gravitational wave collisions
