Long-period pulsations (vlp) and disturbances at night-side of magnetosphere during substorm

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow (USSR). Inst. Fiziki Zemli

Description

The relation of day-time long period pulsations (vlp) by the data of Greenland chain of stations with magnetic disturbances on the night-side (observatory on the Schmidt cape) of the magnetosphere during a substorm is investigated. It is showht that vlp are characteristic of the dayside auroral oval which do not penetrate into magnetospheric tail
