Description

The author comments on the use of adaptive contrast enhancement in display routines for NMR proton density and T1 images (Ridgeway and Sharp 1986). He points out that the note does not report the display scale used either in photometric or perceptual terms, and draws attention to the strong effects of observer training and task specification. Ridgway and Sharp reply. (UK)
