Calculation of electroexcitation cross sections in 12C by a continuum shell model

Description
Electroexcitation of 12C in the giant multipole resonance region is studied using the methods of nuclear reaction theory. The importance of using orthogonalized wave functions for calculations of differential cross sections is pointed out, especially for monopole excitations
