Description
A method for measuring detector pile up has been investigated for high rate particle beam applications. Two methods were used to record the data and were shown to be consistent. Use of the detector has been shown to flag pile up and allow for a series of cuts on the data that can remove rate dependent measurement contamination. The method could be used as part of a hardware trigger. (orig.)
