Analysis of very small particles by means of the microprobe

Description
Very small particles of solid substances are determined by the microprobe in melts of Li2B4O7 using micro crucibles with addition of inner standards. The determination of the amount of inner standard is performed microscopically by measuring the size of small crystals of the cubic system. For this, sodium uranyl acetate and potassium copper lead nitrite crystals are being used. Using this method, e. g. small particles with a mass of some 120 mg and a copper content of some 13 mg are still easy to analyse quantitatively. (orig./RB)

Sehr kleine Festkoerperpartikel werden in einer Mikroschmelze aus Lithiumtetraborat unter Zugabe eines inneren Standards geloest und mit der Mikrosonde quantitativ analysiert. Die Bestimmung der Menge an innerem Standard erfolgt durch mikroskopisches Ausmessen von Kristaellchen des kubischen Systems. Hierzu wurden Natriumuranylacetat- und Kaliumkupferbleinitrit-Kristalle eingesetzt. Kleine Partikel mit einer Masse von ca. 120 mg und einem Kupfergehalt von ca. 13 mg koennen mit dieser Methode z.B. noch recht gut quantitativ analysiert werden. (orig./RB)Additional details
