Simulation of space dependences of charged particle distribution functions in an open adiabatic trap

Description

Study on space dependences of electron and ion distribution functions, electric potential and other plasma parameters is the actual task in connection with the development of physical representations of processes in open traps, their structure modification and production of open complex multimirror systems. Distribution functions of electron and ion velocity have been found within the framework of two dimensional with respect to rates space and one-dimensional in physical space task as well as dependence of electric potential distribution on a space coordinate in an open adiabatic trap. Numerical algorithm for calculating space dependences of plasma parameters in a magnetic trap has been developed. A set of the task, basic equatiops and results of numerical similation are stated. It is shown that the profile of an external magnetic field plays a determining role in the distribution of ambipolar plotential. Magnetic field affects mainly on ions, and electric field effects on electrons
