Application of porous refractory metals for plasmatron interelectrode inserts
Description
Plasmatron interelectrode inserts of porous refractory metals (tungsten, chromium, tungsten-copper pseudoalloy) are tested when using coolants with different oxygen content. Oxygen-porous metal interaction effect is studied as applied to hydraulic and strength properties of the metal. Application of refractory metals to increase the plasmotron specific power and mean-mass temperature of the operating body is shown to be promising
