Dependence of the optical constants of films of zinc telluride on the conditions of growing
- 1. Odesskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Odessa (Ukraine)
Description
ZnTe thin films grown by vacuum evaporation on a glass substrate were annealed in hydrogen atmosphere for 1.8 centre dot 103 at temperatures of 473 and 573 K. Optical transmission and absorption studies were made on these films at temperatures of 293 and 77 K. The refractive index n and absorption coefficient a are estimated for the wavelength region 0.4 - 1.1 μm for as- grown and hydrogen annealed films and are found to decrease with an increase in annealing temperatures. It is observed that hydrogen annealing improved the quality of films
