Homogeneity and accuracy of the dose determination during total body irradiation
Description
Total body irradiation (TBI) was performed as preparation regiment for children with acute leukemias before bone marrow transplantation. The major problem of TBI was to obtain homogenous dose distribution in a whole irradiated body, to reduce the dose in lungs and to assure the compliance between calculated doses and those measured in vivo
