Description

The fluctuations in the electromagnetic shower longitudinal development are obtained for different stages of shower development in lead in broad energy range. The dispersion of average electron number is presented and compared with other Monte Carlo, numerical and analytical solutions. Evaluations of the distribution type are made at different depths. In the very high-energy region, where the LPM cross-sections are valid, a significant increase of the fluctuations is observed
