Recovery of fission platinoids from simulated high-level liquid waste
- 1. Fuel Chemistry Division, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam (India)
Description
Electrochemical investigation in simulated high-level liquid waste solution was conducted to explore the feasibility of recovering fission platinoids (Ru, Rh, Pd) from high-level liquid waste. The recovery of ruthenium, rhodium and palladium increased with increase of applied cathodic potential and a recovery of ∼ 45% was observed at the applied potential of -1.0 V (Vs. Pd). (author)
