Compatibility Tests of High Temperature Primary Circuit Materials in the Dragon Reactor (MK. Ill Heat Exchanger Basket)
Description
The major objective of this experiment is to develop an understanding of the long term structural stability and performance of alloys and ceramics of interest in HTR designs and to develop ways of extending the range of usefulness of those materials which are most promising. Conversely, materials which are severely impaired by exposure to the helium environment and which may therefore prove unacceptable for HTR applications, will be identified. (author)
