Description
A study regarding procedures, methods and associated equipment, implied by the safeguard implementation in heavy water plants, was carried out under the IAEA guidance. The results concerning the isotopic analyses of deuterium in water, hydrogen and ammonia are reported. The sampling techniques as well as ratemeters and other measuring instruments are also presented. Other problems as, for instance, the appropriate endowment of an isotopic analysis laboratory are discussed
