Summary on magnetic confinement theory
Description
Most theoretical results at the conference dealt with tokamak theory. These are summarized in this summary paper. Emphasis was given on modelling of sawtooth oscillations, enhancement of beta limits, H-mode confinement models, anomalous transport models, alpha particle physics, current drive and heating, and effects of high energy particles on MHD stability. MHD equilibrium for alternative experiments are also summarized, as is neoclassical transport in stellarators. The papers on fundamental processes are also reviewed. 9 refs
