Performance of a newly devised stereographic x-ray tube and errors in stereoroentogenographic measurements

Description
An experimental model of a new stereographic X-ray tube was made : (1) The model manufactured by Toshiba Corporation, was named Rotanode E7114. (2) It is a trifocal X-ray tube that possesses a 0.2 mm focus for simple magnification radiography, and two 1.0 mm focuses for stereography on a single rotating anode. (3) The two stereographic focuses are 63 mm apart, corresponding to the eye-to-eye distance of the average Japanese. (4) It is capable of alternating 200 X-ray exposures per second. (5) If it is used with a high-speed film changer, it can provide stereograms of rapidly changing objects with an extremely low time phase difference. Effects on stereoroentgenographic measurements of the distance between the two focuses of the X-ray tube were studied, and a geometrical analysis of the relationship between the exposure distance (the distance between the object and film) and viewing distance (the distance between the stereograms and observer) was made.
