Description

A brief article describes improvements in contamination monitoring equipment. These include walk-in personnel monitors using gas-flow proportional counters and large-area, thin-window hand held detectors which are topped up from a built-in liquefied gas reservoir containing butane or propane. Improvements in digital displays in contamination monitors are also discussed. (UK)
