Magnetization curve for Ce compounds in the crystalline field
- 1. Osaka Univ., Toyonaka (Japan). Faculty of Science
Description
The magnetization curve for the Ce Kondo system is investigated with the use of the exact solution of the Coqblin-Schrieffer model at zero temperature. Characteristic properties caused by the crystal-field effects are discussed with a simple level scheme for the hexagonal field. The obtained results are quantitatively compared with experimental findings for the heavy electron compounds CeAl3 and CeCu2Si2 with rather good agreement. (author)
