Magneto-positronium in semiconductors
Creators
Description
Magnetopositronium - a new quasiparticle - can form as a result of semiconductors irradiation by positrons at extremely low temperatures in strong magnetic fields. In the framework of the Gor'kov-Dzyaloshinskij theory the probabilities λs and half widths ΓN of the process of two-quantum annihilation of magnetopositronium have been calculated. It turned out that exceedingly strong anomalies are intrinsic of the values of λs and ΓN, which suggests a hope for magnetopositronium detection at least at the maximum practicable magnetic field in laboratory, i.e. H ∼ 100 Tl. 25 refs
