tIn order to ensure the achievement of the reduction targets by 2020 (among other things by reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40% compared to 1990 levels), the Federal Government adopted the Climate Action Program 2020 on 3 December 2014, which also includes the measures of the National Action Plan Energy Efficiency (NAPE) adopted on the same day. The program includes a package of around 110 measures to reduce emissions by 62 to 78 million tonnes CO₂ eq. should be achieved. This report presents the first quantification report. Based on the current state of implementation, with a greenhouse gas reduction effect of 38.7 millon t CO₂ eq. up to 45.6 million t CO₂ eq. (excluding land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF)). Taking into account the measures being planned, by 2020 a reduction effect of 45,5 million t CO₂ eq. up to 55,1 million t CO₂ eq. (without LULUCF) can be expected.
