Contribution to the study of natural radioactivity in the north region of Haute-Vienne department

In this study concerning a region with abundant uranium ore deposits, the following topics are emphasized: low level radioactivity of surface waters with measured values lower than the safety standards of international organizations; the radioactivity of plants growing on this areas due to potassium 40; the meteorological variations of the atmospheric radioactivity, daily variations, monthly variations

Les principaux points qui se degagent de cette etude concernant une region riche en minerai d'uranium, sont les suivants: les eaux de surface sont tres faiblement radioactives avec des valeurs inferieures aux normes preconisees par les instances internationales; les vegetaux qui croissent sur les terrains presentent bien une certaine radioactivite, mais la radioactivite mesuree est surtout le fait du potassium 40; la radioactivite atmospherique est tres variable dans le temps, influencee par les conditions meteorologiquesFiles
