The illumination of the cometary nebula 1548C27

  • 1. Durham Univ. (UK). Dept. of Physics
  • 2. Royal Greenwich Observatory, Cambridge (UK)

Description

Optical polarization maps of the crescent-shaped 1548C27 nebulosity show that there are two illuminating stars rather than the single apical one as previously assumed. The origin and nature of the jet is questioned. (author)
