Scaling for the sawtooth period from a simple model
Description
A previously introduced model for sawtooth behaviour in Tokamaks is solved analytically under simplifying assumptions. For ohmically heated discharges a scaling law for the sawtooth period is derived, which shows an almost linear dependence of the period on the thermal conduction time, in good agreement with numerical solutions and with experiments.
