Analytical calculation of interatomic interaction potentials at the relative motion of partners
Description
A theory of interatomic interaction potentials and elastic scattering at the relative motion of atoms is developed. Analytical formulae for the electrostatic and kinetic terms of potential as well as for nuclear stopping power and scattering cross-section are derived. Some numerical calculations of potentials, scattering functions in Lindhard's approximation and nuclear stopping power are given. The application of the theory to the channeling of ions is discussed.
