Combined treatment of cancer of the stomach

Description

Consideration is being given to results of various treatments (surgical, pharmacotherapy, radiotherapy, combined), applied to 3000 patients with cancer of the stomach. Some aspects of the pathology are covered in the light of study of immunologic status and concentration of carcinoembryonic antigen. Possibilities of using some immune reactions and concentration of the antigen for prediction of desease course after surgical treatment are shown. Delayed results of various treatments were studied. Their individual and combined possibilities were shown, as well as advisability of application of various methods depending on the character and stage of tumoral process and patient state
