Search of clusters/droplets in relativistic nucl+nucl collisions

  • 1. Dept. of Physics, Univ. of Rajasthan, Jaipur (India)

Description

Rapidity clusters were first observed in non-diffractive hadronic collisions. Snider provided multiperipheral description to the clustering in central rapidity region and showed that rapidity gap distribution of produced charged particles is given by the superposition of two decaying exponentials i.e. one corresponding to the small and other to the large gaps. Study of effects of i) projectile mass ii) energy and iii) centrality on correlation length, cluster size and cluster density along with their variation with multiplicity or c.m.s. energy is carried out using data of O16+Em reactions at 14.6, 60 and 200 A GeV, α+Em reaction at 12 A GeV and Au+Em reaction at 10.6 A GeV energy
