Hygienic estimation of radon content in air of indoors in Ekaterinburg

Description

Hygienic inspection of diverse premises in Ekaterinburg has revealed the problem of radon level in them. Increased content of radon (more than 100 Bk/m3) has been detected in 41 facilities, which makes up 22% of all the premises studied. Radon concentrations exceeding 200 Bk/m3 have been detected in 6 facilities, including individual dwelling houses and social buildings (kindergartens, schools, banks). Average radon concentration in the air of dwelling houses made up 33-40 Bk/m3. Average radiation background in dwelling houses amounted to 16 μR/h
