TSDS, the tritium storage and delivery system for TFTR
Description
A Tritium Storage and Delivery System (TSDS) has been constructed which will provide a safe, reliable source of high purity tritium fuel for the Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor. Some novel approaches to gas handling are incorporated in the TSDS to ensure that it meets the stringent standards required of it. Testing of TSDS has begun, and preliminary indications are that the analytical system and the injection valves will perform as required. Technicians are being trained to operate TSDS competently and safely after it is installed at TFTR
