Measurements and calculations from an installed PV/T solar system in the kindergarten 'Pavlina Veljanova'-Kochani
Description
Kindergartens are one of the biggest consumers of electrical and heat energy. Since they have limited installation area, hybrid (PV/T) collectors are the perfect fit for these kinds of objects. One hybrid collector is composed of an upper part of photovoltaic cell and below is the thermal part for hot water. The main objective of this paper is to present measured data about the performance of an installed solar system at a kindergarten in Kochani, Republic of Macedonia. The kindergarten is based in the center and that has about 350 kids enrolled. Measurement equipment is installed separately for the thermal and electrical part. Calculations about how the installed capacity corresponds to the needs of the kindergarten are also included. All of the produced electricity is mainly used for lightning the hall, offices and backyard. Thermal energy is also utilized for preparing food and children's nurseries. (author)
