Nonmesonic decay rates and lifetimes of light-to-medium Λ-hypernuclei
Description
Nonmesonic decay rates for s-, p- and sd-shell hypernuclei are evaluated. Two types of the meson-exchange, i.e. the 2 pion/rho and the 2 pion/sigma -meson exchange potentials, V2π/ρ and V2π/σ, respectively, are constructed and employed in addition to Vπ. Calculated nonmesonic decay rates are combined with the mesonic decay rates to deduce the hypernuclear lifetimes to be compared with the existing data. (author)
