Conceptual foundations of the unified theory of weak and electromagnetic interactions
Description
A translation is presented of the 1979 Nobel prize acceptance address. The lecture describes the history leading to the formation of the unified theory of weak and electromagnetic interactions (the Weinberg-Salam Gauge Model). The fundamentals of the unified theory are described. (Z.J.)
