Simple method of radioisotopic diagnostics of the osseo-arthricular system

The results of studies on patients with various forms of bone inflammatory states are presented. The pyrophosphate complex labelled with Tc-99m (PF-Tc-99m) has been used and measurements were performed using apparatus consisting of RUST-2 radiometer and especially adaptated probes. Two different probes were used, the first served the localization of focuses within the whole osseous system, the second served the measure of the focuses areas. The following three methods were used to demonstrate the usefulness of the apparatus for the bone system examination: the radiological, the scintigraphic and the multifield method. The results obtained confirmed fully the usefulness of kit used in the clinical diagnostics of osseo-arthricular system. (author)
