New frontiers of exotic atoms/nuclei

Creators

  • 1. RI Beam Science Laboratory, RIKEN, Wako-shi, Saitama-ken, 351-0198 (Japan)

Description

Frontiers of exotic atoms and nuclei recently advanced are reviewed. Discussions are made on i) high-precision spectroscopy of deeply bound pionic states as an indicator of chiral symmetry restoration, ii) search for deeply bound dense kaonic nuclei, and iii) scopes for using antiprotons. Future studies will be characterized as 'from exotic x stable to exotic x exotic'. (author)
