Phase equilibria in the Al-Sc-Mn system

Description
By means of the light microscopy, the micro-X-ray spectral analysis, the electric resistance measurement one studied Al-Sc-Mn system alloys containing up to 3 at.% of scandium and up to 2.5 at.% of manganese. One determined the Al-solid solution boundaries under 640, 600 and 400 deg C temperatures and plotted the isothermal cross section of Al-Sc-Mn system under 640 deg C within the aluminum-rich range. ScAl3 and MnAl6 phases are found to be in equilibrium with the Al-solid solution
Abstract (Russian)
Методами световой микроскопии, микрорентгеноспектрального анализа, измерения электросопротивления изучены сплавы системы Al-Sc-Mn с содержанием скандия до 3 ат.% и марганца до 2,5 ат.%. Определены границы области Al-твердого раствора при температурах 640, 600 и 400 град C и построено изотермическое сечение системы Al-Sc-Mn при 640 град C в части, богатой алюминием. Установлено, что в равновесии с Al-твердым раствором находятся фазы ScAl3 и MnAl6Additional details
