Description

To search for more conductive materials, the properties of solid solutions in the YOsub(1.5)-PrOsub(X)-CaO and YOsub(1.5)-TbOsub(x)-CaO system are studied. Alloying of solid solutions of the YOsub(1.5)-PrOsub(x) and YOsub(1.5)-TbOsub(x) systems with calcium oxide is shown to bring about an increase in the specific electric conductivity. The degree of praseodymium oxidation rises with a growth in the calcium oxide content in solid solutions (YOsub(1.5))sub(1-y-z)(PrOsub(x))sub(y)(CaO)sub(z) at a constant PrOsub(x) concentration. For samples of the (YOsub(1.5))sub(0.6)(PrOsub(x))sub(0.3)(CaO)sub(0.1) composition, the share of the electron conductivity reaches 95% in the absence of signs of electrolytic decomposition under the electric current effect
